Effective Date: June 4, 2025

These Payout Terms explain how rewards and cash payouts work on Zi. They apply to any user who earns performance-based points and becomes eligible for monthly rewards.

Earn points through content. If you rank in the top % and verify your ID, you may qualify for a payout.


1. Points System Overview

  • Points are earned based on content performance and engagement (likes, comments, shares, challenge participation, etc.).
  • Actions on others' content (e.g., comments, boosts) may also earn minor points.
  • Points are tracked internally and visible on your profile.

2. Monthly Reward Evaluation

  • At the end of each calendar month, we run a system-wide calculation based on the distribution of points across all active users.
  • The top X% (e.g., top 1%) of point earners will be considered for payouts.
  • The minimum qualifying threshold may vary monthly based on platform activity.

3. Eligibility Requirements

To receive a payout, users must:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Have a verified identity via Veriff (includes facial ID scan and legal ID document)
  • Not be under investigation or moderation review at the time of payout
  • Not have violated Community Guidelines or Terms of Service

4. Payment Process

  • Payouts are distributed within 14 business days of the monthโ€™s end.
  • Supported payment methods: Stripe, CashApp, PayPal (subject to change)
  • You must link a valid payment account and pass all compliance checks

5. Taxes & Reporting

  • You are responsible for any taxes associated with payouts.
  • If you exceed IRS reporting thresholds, we may require submission of a W-9 and issue a 1099 form.

6. Abuse & Disqualification

We reserve the right to withhold, delay, or revoke payouts from accounts that:

  • Use bots, fake engagement, or exploits
  • Have suspicious patterns of activity
  • Attempt to game the system in any way

7. Changes & Cancellation

Zi may change or discontinue the payout system at any time with or without notice. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email.
